It’s basically The Death-star from Star Wars. It’s a matt black sphere with geometric surface detailing which surrounds a glass lens. Most of my thoughts have been the connotations the physical form has. As a sleep aid it’s a little to load but as an educational product it’s not an issue. My only issue is with the sound the motor makes when rotating the projection. The detail doesn’t come from the projector itself, but from the very high resolution printed discs which you slide in.Īs a physical product it is well made and preforms its function well. I was equally as taken aback as my 5 year old son when first switching it on. It certainly is very impressive and immersive in the detail. It supposedly projects more stars than any other, 60,000 to be exact. I came across this Sega Toys projector in a Guinness Book Of Records mention. Perfectly suitable for trying to entertain young children but not much more. They have always been fun but never particularly impressive in the imagery they project. Our family has had a couple of children’s night sky projectors over the years. This week I’m reviewing a Homestar Flux night sky projector from Sega Toys. Next week I’m going to look at the seemingly uninteresting product catalog which is charging cables. I more often find myself doing a little dance because my legs were already moving a little. Most of the time I’m designing at my desk I’m listening to music. Now it’s summertime I’m using it barefooted and this definitely adds to the encouragement of movement. It has large flat areas and these are absolutely necessary as we don’t need to move all the time especially if in a video meeting. Ergodriven seem to have really analysed what forms make us stand differently. It looks rather uninteresting and the protrusions didn’t look varied or substantial enough for make the user move. When I first got this product I really was not expecting much from it. This makes the user move their legs and hips and this greatly reduces issues caused from lack of movement. It’s chunky edges and central dome make the user regularly put their feet at different angles. This week my review is of the Ergodriven Topo Standing Desk Mat. Several companies have tried to encourage us to move around when stood at a desk. The problem is lack of movement (either when stood up or sat down). My backache is definitely less often however some of the aches had moved to my legs. One of the best additions to my little studio is my secondhand motorised standing desk.
